from bbc.co.uk: Google has said it is testing a "smart contact lens" that can help measure glucose levels in tears.
The firm said it is also working on integrating tiny LED lights that could light up to indicate that glucose levels have crossed certain thresholds.
But it added that "a lot more work" needed to be done to get the technology ready for everyday use.

Connectivity to outside was not mentioned in this article, but if Google is involved I would guess that would be on the agenda. Imagine wearing this device and being tempted to eat, for example, a nice piece of chocolate cake. Your blood sugar goes up and your insurance provider is immediately notified. So they increase your premium for eating a piece of chocolate cake. Or a SWAT team smashes some one's door down because they ate dessert at Thanksgiving. That last example might be a bit extreme but bear in mind that if you allow yourself to be spied on, you WILL be spied on
